About the Role
Are you interested in reducing congestion and encouraging public transport usage and active travel by enabling people, businesses and goods to get around Greater Manchester more efficiently?
TfGM are seeking a highly-motivated Travel Demand Management (TDM) Manager. In this role you will coordinate and deliver a range of travel demand measures to tackle transport pressure points around planned events, including highway and Metrolink works on the network and help to manage unplanned disruption across Greater Manchester. You will lead on delivering communications related to planned and unplanned disruptions as well as working with stakeholders to explore Travel Demand Management initiatives. These initiatives will seek to balance network pressures, grow public transport and active travel numbers, encourage flexible travel habits and work with event venues and stakeholders on event-related travel.

Your role as TDM Manager is positioned within the Customer department but will work across the organisation, collaborating with different teams in order to manage network pressures. You will identify areas for intervention and determine the necessary course of action, particularly through our customer communications.
What you’ll bring
You’ll need a sound operational knowledge of the Greater Manchester transport network and be able to interpret complex data, translating it into easy-to-understand travel information across multiple channels. You will have strong communication, analytical and stakeholder engagement skills and experience in major events logistics. You will also have experience of travel demand management, delivering behaviour change initiatives and embedding successes as business as usual.
What we can offer you
A fixed term role for 12 months with a salary of £47,539 - £52,866 per annum depending on skills and experience. Your role is within an experienced and supportive team, keen to drive a positive change for customers travelling on the Greater Manchester transport network.
