Join our Revenue Finance team at TfGM, where you will play a key role in supporting senior management to meet the organisation’s strategic financial objectives.
Your Role
This senior role will lead on managing the Metrolink revenue budget, a key directorate within TfGM. Metrolink is the largest light rail network in the UK, connecting people and places across the GM region. Working closely with the Metrolink management team and other stakeholders, you will provide advice and support on a broad range of finance matters. You will manage a small team, working collaboratively with the wider revenue reporting team to deliver an excellent service to our internal and external customers. This is a pivotal role within the team, that will support strategic decision-making through insightful financial analysis, robust reporting, and proactive business partnering.

Our work is central to improving connectivity and accessibility for everyone in Greater Manchester. As part of the Finance, Commercial and Corporate Services directorate, you’ll have opportunities to collaborate with teams across Commercial Services, Legal, and Procurement, broadening your experience and helping shape the future of transport in the region.
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience partnering with senior managers and directors on revenue management, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to thrive in complex financial environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and inclusive approach.
- A degree-level education and a relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, MCIPS).
- A commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Experience in transport or public sector finance, particularly involving local and central government funding, is desirable but not essential.
