Position Overview (UPS available for the right candidate) Due to the expansion of our team, we are looking for a skilled, compassionate, and dedicated teacher with experience supporting children with SEND/SEMH needs (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities / Social, Emotional, and Mental Health). Join our vibrant team at the SEND school and Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) at Alder Brook. Alder Brook is part of the LINK Trust, an inclusive partnership of mainstream and special schools in Salford. We provide a safe, nurturing environment for pupils with social and emotional needs while ensuring academic progress, building their self-confidence and equipping every child to be successful in the future.
Responsibilities
- As a SEND / SEMH Teacher at Alder Brook, you will work with a group of children, providing tailored support and interventions to help children overcome barriers to learning and thrive in an educational setting.
- Experience across all Key Stages is desirable but not essential.
- Believe that every child can reach their potential through adaptive, personalised teaching.
- Hold a moral commitment to learning and achievement through a personalised primary curriculum.
- Have knowledge of SEND developments and experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
- Embrace high expectations of learning and behaviour and be committed to engaging pupils with a range of pastoral and academic challenges.
