Class Teacher with SENCO St. William of York Catholic Primary School, Nugent Road, Bolton BL3 3DE. The Governors of this Catholic, vibrant, multicultural school are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Class Teacher with a TLR for EYFS Leadership and responsibility for SEN provision in EYFS and KS1. We are looking for someone passionate about early years education, dedicated to building an exceptional and nurturing learning environment where all children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This is a key leadership role, combining strategic oversight of the Early Years Foundation Stage with specific responsibility for coordinating SEND provision in both EYFS and Key Stage 1. You will work closely with staff, families, and external professionals to ensure high-quality, inclusive education for all pupils, especially those with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the vision, strategic development, and day-to-day management of the EYFS curriculum and provision.
- Champion early years pedagogy and support colleagues in delivering high-quality, child-centred learning experiences.
- Oversee and coordinate effective SEN support for children in EYFS and KS1, in line with the school's SEND policy.
- Identify and assess individual needs and ensure appropriate interventions and support are in place.
- Collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies to develop inclusive practice and ensure statutory requirements are met.
- Model excellent classroom practice and contribute to ongoing curriculum planning and development across EYFS and KS1.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A strong understanding of EYFS pedagogy and child development.
- Experience working with children with special educational needs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A commitment to inclusive practice and whole school improvement.
