The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Bolton Council for a permanent Senior Policy Officer. This post will support a range of strategies and action plans to progress the Equalities, Inclusion and Diversity (EDI) agenda across all areas of the organisation. The post will strive to engage staff, residents, partners and wider stakeholders in the equity and inclusion agenda, building on our current portfolio to support EDI delivery and performance.

About You

This is a key role within the organisation and as such requires a highly motivated individual, with an excellent understanding of the Equalities Act (2010). The role requires someone with exceptional communication skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders, including our workforce and wider communities across the borough. Excellent analytical, organisational and project coordination skills are also essential to support the delivery and implementation of a wide range of programmes. Applicants may have experience of working in a similar role, but we are also keen to hear from individuals that have worked in other sectors with transferrable skillsets. Candidates may also upload any supporting documentation such as a CV and a covering letter to support their applications if they wish.
