Mental Health & Wellbeing Freelance Trainers Role Overview:
Location: Southeast (including Reading and Sussex), London and surrounding areas, and the Midlands. We're not currently recruiting in the North or West.
Contract: Freelance
Become part of our national wellbeing training network. We're growing our freelance trainer network and looking for values-led trainers to deliver our mental health and wellbeing programmes across the UK.
Deliveries include Mental Health First Aid England training (you must hold a current accreditation) alongside our own specialist CPD accredited programmes, such as Grief First Aid and Neurodiversity & Mental Health.
You'll be delivering to our established client base, organisations that choose us for our trusted reputation, consistent quality, and engaging, professional training experience.
We also offer opportunities to upskill through our own CPD-accredited courses, and occasionally to collaborate on bespoke programme development and delivery, supporting trainers to broaden their expertise and grow with us.
We offer regular training opportunities throughout the year and build long-term relationships with our trusted freelancers. For the right trainers, that means steady, rewarding work across our national programmes.
What You Will Do:
- Deliver a range of wellbeing courses, both in-person and online.
- Create learning environments that feel safe, engaging, and genuinely inclusive.
- Represent our brand with warmth, professionalism, and consistency.
- Work closely with our central team, engaging in open, friendly, and collaborative communication before, during, and after each course.
- Bring curiosity, compassion, and clear communication to every session you lead.
What We Are Looking For:
- Current MHFA England Instructor accreditation (Adult is essential, Youth would be a bonus also).
- Additional accreditations or experience in related wellbeing topics are advantageous.
- Experience delivering wellbeing, EDI, or mental-health training.
- A facilitative, emotionally intelligent delivery style.
- Open and responsive communication, we work best when everyone stays connected.
- Reliability, attention to detail, and strong organisational skills.
- Willingness to travel within your region with further afield opportunities available also.
What We Offer:
- £300 per day (face-to-face) and £250 per day (online). Rates are inclusive of reasonable travel (approx. 75 minutes each way).
- If a course involves longer journeys, we'll agree a travel contribution in advance.
- Prompt payment within seven days of delivery.
- Full support from our central team for all course logistics and administration, you focus on delivering, we handle the rest.
- Regular, well-organised bookings with clear communication and transparent expectations.
- Opportunities to deliver a wide variety of wellbeing programmes as part of a supportive national network.
This role is best suited to freelance trainers who work in partnership with training providers, rather than those promoting their own wellbeing brand. We value collaboration and long-term relationships with trainers who take pride in representing our brand and helping us strengthen our reputation for trusted, high-quality training.
