The Video Engineer will be an integral player in driving the video business unit growth. Key functions include producing localized audio and video content for corporate and entertainment projects. Tasks include time coding, graphic replacement of on-screen text and motion graphics, subtitling, file organization and management, video editing, DVD authoring, trouble shooting, encoding video, and other tasks as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Produce localized video content for corporate training videos and commercials (broadcast and web).
- Perform video editing functions using Adobe Premiere and After Effects or Final Cut Pro.
- Perform all subtitling job functions using applicable software and hardware.
- File management, spotting, transcription, rendering subtitles and encoding video for delivery.
- Maintain strict adherence to corporate and client expectations and is responsible for technical quality of all videos.
- Work independently as well as under the direction of project managers to produce high quality work under tight deadlines.
- Technical trouble shooting, monitoring equipment functioning and handling hardware and software upgrades as necessary.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- At least 1 year of proven experience working with After Effects and Adobe Premiere.
- Experience with graphic replacement and preferably multi-lingual content as well as working knowledge of encoding and web compression.
- General understanding of localization process.
- Extremely detail-oriented, professional, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Ability to apply creativity and innovation to work processes.
- A high level of self-motivation, commitment and dedication.
- At least 1 year of work experience required.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of the subtitling process and experience working with subtitling software.
- Experience working with Cinema 4D, Mac OS X, Final Cut Pro, Compressor, DVD Studio Pro, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
