You will help keep ticketless travel to a minimum. We are TransPennine Express and we are going places. Whether that is helping customers reach their destination, or ensuring our colleagues feel fulfilled and supported in their careers. We are looking for people with drive and enthusiasm to join our amazing team and help push for more progress within the rail industry.
As a Revenue Protection Inspector, you will be working as part of a highly engaged team. Your role will help to reduce ticketless travel across the TPE network by ensuring all passengers have a valid ticket. To protect the revenue, you will predominantly work onboard with some station work as required. You will have an eye for detail and excellent communication skills to help support and educate our customers. As you will be dealing with ticketing requirements, there will be some cash handling, so you must be comfortable with issuing accurate change.
Our trains operate around the clock, so you will work some early mornings, late nights, and weekends too. With experience in customer service, along with your friendly and professional manner, you will maintain high standards and support our customers even during those difficult times. From giving advice on train times and platform information to helping with seating and luggage, your communication skills will be key.
