About the Role
As Data Protection Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring TPE's compliance with data protection legislation. You will lead on data privacy guidance across the organisation, conduct DPIAs, respond to all data protection related queries and support projects providing expert advice to the business. You will also foster a culture of compliance, and collaborate with colleagues across the organisation and wider operating group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and respond to data subject access requests and CCTV requests, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
- Conduct privacy risk assessments and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs).
- Support training and awareness programmes to promote a culture of compliance.
- Advise on data protection matters, supporting colleagues at all levels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed privacy by design in new systems and processes.
- Maintain relationships with regulatory authorities and act as the main point of contact for data protection matters.
- Report regularly to senior management and boards on data protection issues and developments.
Who are we looking for?
- Solid understanding of data protection and information regulations.
- Proven previous experience working in an in-house data protection or privacy role, ideally within a complex or regulated organisation.
- Experience handling information disclosure requests and embedding privacy by design.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards, privacy, and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Relevant degree or professional certification (e.g., C-DPO) is desirable.
