Build AI-powered systems that automate real-world workflows at scale. This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing AI startup building an AI-driven platform automating up to 80% of property management workflows, transforming how compliance, maintenance, and tenant communication are handled across the UK property sector.
As a Lead Python Engineer, you will design and build scalable backend systems, APIs, and AI-driven applications, working at the intersection of software engineering, automation, and AI integration. You will play a key role in developing systems that directly impact end users, while helping shape engineering practices and mentoring other developers in a high-growth environment.
You will be responsible for architecting and building Python-based systems (FastAPI, Django, Flask), developing and optimising data pipelines, and ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and performant. You will collaborate closely with product, AI, and design teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, while contributing to technical strategy, system design, and code quality.
We are looking for engineers with strong experience in Python development, building production-grade systems, APIs, and microservices, with familiarity in cloud platforms, CI/CD, and modern software engineering practices. Experience working on AI systems, automation platforms, or SaaS products is highly desirable, along with exposure to Node.js, containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes), and scalable architectures.
You may already be operating at a senior level or stepping into leadership, but you will bring strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work in fast-paced environments where you can take ownership and drive impact.
This is a high-impact opportunity to join early, shape engineering culture, and build AI-powered systems that solve real-world problems at scale.
