Nursery Nurse Pay: £90–£110 per day Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary Start date: 1 September 2026 Location: Lewisham, London, SE4 Salary will reflect experience and qualifications in line with the London Teachers Pay Scale. Help young children build the confidence, language and curiosity that will support them throughout school. Transparency Education is looking for a nurturing and knowledgeable Nursery Nurse to join an early-years team in Lewisham. You will help create a stimulating environment in which children can learn through play, develop positive relationships and become increasingly independent. This Nursery Nurse role offers a consistent placement and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to children’s development throughout the academic term. Your responsibilities • Plan and lead purposeful play and adult-led learning activities. • Support children’s communication, physical, social and emotional development. • Observe children and contribute to accurate learning records. • Help maintain an engaging, inclusive and well-organised environment. • Support children with personal care sensitively and respectfully. • Build professional relationships with parents and carers. • Identify and report welfare or developmental concerns appropriately. • Follow EYFS, safeguarding, health and safety procedures. What we are looking for The appointed Nursery Nurse will ideally have: • A recognised Level 3 early-years or childcare qualification. • Recent experience in a nursery, preschool or school-based EYFS setting. • A good practical understanding of child development and learning through play. • Strong observation and communication skills. • A caring, dependable and organised approach. • Experience supporting children with additional needs would be welcomed.
