Inspiring EYFS Teacher

Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary Start date: 1 September 2026 Salary will reflect experience and qualifications in line with the London Teachers Pay Scale.

Transparency Education is recruiting an enthusiastic and knowledgeable EYFS Teacher for a full-time role in a primary school in Dartford.

The school is looking for a teacher who can establish a welcoming, language-rich and purposeful early years environment in which every child feels safe, included and excited to learn.

This position offers the opportunity to take responsibility for an EYFS class, shape high-quality continuous provision and support children as they build the foundations needed for future success at school.

The role As the EYFS Teacher, you will

  • Plan and deliver an ambitious, engaging and inclusive early years curriculum.
  • Create well-organised indoor and outdoor continuous provision.
  • Use purposeful play and direct teaching to develop children’s knowledge and skills.
  • Promote strong communication, vocabulary and early language development.
  • Teach systematic synthetic phonics in line with the school’s chosen programme.
  • Develop early reading, writing and mathematical understanding.
  • Observe, assess and document children’s progress without creating unnecessary workload.
  • Identify gaps in learning and plan effective next steps.
  • Support children with SEND, English as an additional language and varying starting points.
  • Establish positive routines and developmentally appropriate expectations.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, senior leaders and external professionals.

About you The successful candidate will

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Have recent teaching experience within Nursery or Reception.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage statutory framework.
  • Understand child development and the importance of communication and language.
  • Be confident designing meaningful continuous provision.
  • Use assessment effectively to inform teaching and support progress.
  • Maintain an inclusive, calm and stimulating classroom.
  • Have strong classroom leadership and organisation skills.
  • Work collaboratively and communicate professionally with families and colleagues.
  • Be ambitious for every child, regardless of background or starting point.
  • Experience leading an EYFS subject area, supporting early language development or delivering a recognised phonics programme would be advantageous.
