SEN Teaching Assistant – ASD Specialist  Location: Bromley, South-East London Salary: £90–£100 per day Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary Start date: September 2026 A caring primary school in Bromley is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support autistic pupils within its inclusive provision. This is a long-term opportunity to join a knowledgeable SEN team and provide thoughtful support that helps children communicate, participate and become more independent. The SEN Teaching Assistant – ASD will work flexibly between individual and small-group support. The school is seeking someone who notices small steps of progress, follows agreed strategies consistently and responds sensitively to different communication and sensory profiles. The role will involve: Supporting learning through clear language, visual resources and structured routines Preparing pupils for transitions and changes to the school day Supporting communication, social understanding and emotional regulation Making reasonable adaptations to tasks and the learning environment Recording progress and contributing to support-plan reviews Working closely with teachers, the SENCO and families You will bring: Recent experience supporting pupils with ASD Understanding of sensory processing and communication needs Patience, consistency and strong observation skills Makaton, PECS or autism-specific training, desirable The right to work in the UK What this role offers: A long-term opportunity within a knowledgeable and inclusive SEN team Consistent work with pupils, allowing you to recognise and celebrate meaningful progress Access to established resources and autism-informed classroom strategies Why work via Transparency Education?
