We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth in our Sameday Courier division. The ideal candidate will combine strong B2B sales acumen with a passion for logistics, leveraging our competitive edge to expand our client base and revenue streams.
Responsibilities
- Business Growth: Identify and target new B2B clients across sectors requiring urgent logistics solutions (e.g., healthcare, manufacturing, e-commerce). Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet/exceed revenue targets. Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers through consultative selling.
- Client Management: Lead end-to-end sales cycles, from prospecting to contract negotiation. Conduct needs assessments and tailor solutions using our Sameday Courier services. Retain and upsell existing accounts, ensuring high client satisfaction. Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities. Collaborate with marketing to refine value propositions and promotional campaigns.
- Compliance & Reporting: Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular sales forecasts. Adhere to company policies, including data protection and ethical sales practices.
Strong track record in client-facing roles, with ability to influence stakeholders. GCSE Maths & English (Grade C/4 or equivalent). Right to work in the UK and willingness to travel as needed. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Full Clean Driving Licence and access to a reliable vehicle. Experience in logistics, transport, or supply chain sectors. Knowledge of sameday/urgent delivery markets. Proficiency with CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
