Job Description

The Project Manager – Fleet Projects will be responsible for managing a wide range of engineering projects from inception to closure. Projects include new fleet procurement for both bus and rail sectors, fleet enhancements and overhauls as well as engineering facility projects.

Essential Criteria

• Qualified to Degree level or equivalent in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline with a minimum of 2 years’ experience of managing engineering projects OR alternatively Qualified to HNC/HND level or equivalent in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline with a minimum of 4 years’ experience of managing engineering projects

• Experience of managing interfaces within an engineering environment

• Experience of managing engineering projects from inception to completion

• Experience of Contract/Financial management

• Experience of project management methodologies and documentation

Desirable Criteria

• Project Management qualification

• Experience of managing people within an engineering environment
