You will maintain and repair all mechanical aspects of a vehicle, carry out vehicle inspections and associated administrative duties.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, service, maintain and prepare Translink fleet to PCV standards.
- Test, diagnose faults and rectify defects on vehicle systems.
- Remove and replace vehicle components.
- Respond to vehicle breakdowns.
- Complete administrative duties associated with the post.
Skills and Qualifications
- Recognised Vehicle Apprenticeship with minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant trade or discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years\’ post apprenticeship experience in a similar role.
- Full current driving licence.
- Able to obtain a PCV licence.
- Experience in a similar role working on commercial vehicles.
- Relevant engineering experience on buses and/or coaches.
- Experience of using IT packages.
- Possess large vehicle licence, preferably a PCV licence.
