The S&T Programme Manager is responsible for leading the planning, technical assurance, and delivery of Signalling & Telecoms (S&T) and Electrical & Plant (E&P) programmes, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution. The role manages internal teams and external partners, influences investment decisions through data-driven insights and whole-life costing, and collaborates with stakeholders to maintain asset performance and system integrity from design through to handover, while supporting growth, innovation, and decarbonisation objectives.
Essential Criteria:
- Possess a degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Signalling Engineer.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience of applying and informing UK/Ireland Railway Rule book, Operating Instructions and Procedures.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience of managing Signalling & Telecom Projects.
- Experience of undertaking accidents and incidents investigations.
- Experience of Safety, Health & Environment in a safety critical environment.
- Experience of providing out of hours cover and assistance for a significant level of responsibility.
- Possess a full current driving licence and access to a car to meet the duties of the post in full.
- Ability to work irregular hours including nightshift and public holidays when required.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience of directly managing and directing S&T Installation teams.
- Experience of giving presentations to senior engineers and senior management.
- Experience of project planning.
