Responsibilities- Interpret for people using legal, health and local government services
- Check non‑English speakers’ understanding after each sentence
- Conference, consecutive and public service interpreting
- Handle highly confidential information
- Liaise between the service user and service provider
- Fluent in English and another language
- Right to work in the UK
- Age 21 or over
- Formal qualifications such as a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), Community Interpreting, NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registered is advantageous; a degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages, or any other interpreting‑related qualification.
