Job Description
Language Empire is recruiting for freelance Czech interpreters and translators based in Docaster to support the NHS, local authorities, police, probation services and other public and private organisations.

Interpreting involves listening, understanding and memorising content in the source language, then reproducing the speech in the target language with 100 % accuracy.
You will
- Interpret for people using legal, health and local government services
- Check non‑English speakers’ understanding after each sentence
- Provide conference, consecutive and public‑service interpreting
- Handle highly confidential information
- Liaise between service users and service providers
Requirements
- Fluent in English and at least one other language
- Right to work in the UK
- Age 21 or over
• Formal qualifications such as
- Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)
- Community Interpreting
- NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registration is advantageous
- Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
- Other interpreting‑related qualifications
