You’re an energy analyst or strategist with demonstrated commercial experience delivering compelling thought leadership and short‑form analysis. Your background likely includes experience in market intelligence or sell‑side research in the electricity sector. You are experienced running a market intelligence or sell‑side research function, managing a team of analysts to produce model‑led insights that showcase Scenario Builder, our system modelling platform and flagship product. You are adept at both supporting and managing analysts with ideation and editing, as well as producing your own insights independently to tight deadlines. You see yourself as an analyst who can tell stories about the energy transition and who understands and can communicate the nuances of planning and investing in the power sector. A high level of adaptability and willingness to approach challenges with creativity and curiosity is essential. We work globally, so you will be able to demonstrate a nuanced understanding of diverse cultural landscapes and regulatory environments, particularly across our focus markets.
This role is responsible for developing the content strategy and driving the quality of our public‑facing outputs. You will manage and upskill our Insights team to effectively translate outputs from Scenario Builder into model‑led insights that build our brand reputation and contribute to the adoption of Scenario Builder. You will also manage our Marketing and Communications function, ensuring that our public relations and digital distribution channels are leveraged effectively to reach and engage our target markets. You will work cross‑functionally with our Product and Technology teams to ensure our model‑led insights drive engagement with our datasets and software. You will own the strategic content direction and ensure the creation of a high volume of impactful short‑form content, from rapid‑response commentary and social media updates to thought leadership pieces. Your ability to independently identify opportunities, craft messages, and disseminate them across various channels will be critical. You will manage a Comms & Marketing Manager, as well as three analysts in the newly formed Insights team. You will have access to freelance graphic design and in‑country specialist communications support through our partnerships. This hybrid role is based out of our London office near Waterloo Station and reports to the COO.
Responsibilities

- Keep our content machine firing with high‑quality, model‑led articles, data visualisations, email newsletters, and social media content.
- Occasionally draft rapid‑response commentary, thought leadership pieces, and other core content independently.
- Serve as an internal champion for the company's objective framework, translating annual key results into measurable quarterly objectives that drive cross‑functional focus.
- Develop our global marketing and communications strategy, guiding the Comms & Marketing Manager towards initiatives that have maximum impact and align with our company objectives.
- Oversee the Communications & Marketing Manager.
- Secure media engagement opportunities, including podcast spots, expert commentary, and distribution of media releases.
- Own the company events calendar, securing speaking engagements and partnerships to meet grant objectives.
- Report on communications outcomes and keep the wider team informed about product development and in‑country impact narratives.
- Oversee our public relations and press materials.

- Solutions‑oriented, adaptable, and happy to roll up your sleeves when the role demands it.
- Empathetic and mindful of different ways of working, and respectful of the unique skills that the people you manage and collaborate with bring to work.
- An appreciation of content‑led marketing and curiosity about the constantly evolving world of social media.
