We are building the world's leading climate and deep tech early stage venture firm. We are partnering with the most ambitious founders building generational companies that replace legacy systems underpinning the physical world with cleaner, better, and more efficient alternatives, from seed to IPO. The team has a successful track record of founding, building and investing in some of the most successful tech companies of the last 20 years on both sides of the Atlantic. We’ve made 26 investments, with fifteen of these companies raising over $490m in follow-on capital.

This is an opportunity to be an early team member at one of the most ambitious and impactful firms in venture. You will work closely with the partners at the firm, and be responsible for initiating and executing on the strategic projects necessary to build one of the most important firms in our industry. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the success of our portfolio companies, but you will also be asked to lead or support other high priority strategic projects.

Specifically, we expect the key responsibilities to be:

  • Owning the end-to-end portfolio value creation program to ensure Transition provides the best founder support of any firm in our industry.
  • Leading the continued build-out of our external network among corporate executives, financing providers and policy leaders - with the aim of building relationships and partnerships that benefit both our founders and Transition.
  • Leading our brand positioning project, and being responsible for further increasing brand awareness throughout our ecosystem.
  • Initiate and lead strategic projects that help us execute better internally, and provide more value to our founders, our limited partners and our wider community.

Who is likely to thrive in the role? Someone with an entrepreneurial spirit. We are not looking to just replicate what other funds are doing. We believe that this role could play a major role in helping us build one of the most important venture firms in the world. We want someone who’s creative, ambitious and who thinks from first principles. Someone who can lead projects end-to-end. We are looking for someone who has a track record of leading projects from idea stage to completion. The person in this role will be expected to operate independently on a day-to-day basis, and manage others in the team on projects. Someone who can build strong relationships with senior executives. A core responsibility of this role is to build strong relationships with senior executives and other industry leaders. We need someone in this role who has experience dealing with C-level leaders at Fortune 500 companies, and who knows how to earn their trust.

Someone who wants to be a strategic leader - not an investor. This is a leadership role within our fund, and a position that will have a major impact on Transition’s future trajectory. It is not a stepping stone to an investment role.
