As a Senior Delivery Manager you will lead multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver products and services that meet user needs, manage complex projects, and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver products and services that meet users’ needs
- Help teams organise and plan their work
- Enable teams to communicate their plans clearly and deliver outcomes using agile practices
- Work with teams and organisations to adopt an agile mindset or agile practices as appropriate
- Identify and build the teams and resources needed to deliver client goals
- Proactively identify and address risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers
- Help influence strategic direction for an engagement
- Promote a good working environment with high‑performing teams who can enjoy working together
- Develop, guide and coach an assigned team
- Be a key member of our Delivery Management community, learning, sharing and applying skills and knowledge to improve
- Support the development of the Delivery practices toolkit and processes
Qualifications
- Experience of working along the product development life‑cycle with multi‑disciplinary teams
- Skilled in Agile methods, including continuous improvement and continuous delivery methods
- Skilled in introducing and improving use of Agile in a pragmatic way
- Experience delivering great outcomes in complex sectors at scale such as the public sector or utilities
- Demonstrable experience in challenging senior stakeholders and influencing their mindset and ways of working
- Skilled in thinking strategically about problems at scale with stakeholders and in the detail with delivery teams
- Skilled in communication making complex information simple, and bringing people with you
- Experience developing and mentoring team members including more junior delivery managers
- Experience working with research, design, technical and data teams - helping set priorities, make key technical choices and identify risks
- Experience being a part of, or contributing to successful communities of practice or excellence
- A growth mindset
- AI curious and ready to embrace opportunities
