Male Support Worker, Nights Location: Chichester, West Sussex, PO19 7NU Salary: £14.00 per hour, equivalent to £28,028 per annum Contract: Full time, permanent Hours: 38.5 paid hours per week Shifts: Nights, 12 hour shifts on a two week rolling shift pattern. Working pattern: Rolling two week rota, with three shifts one week and four the next, including alternate weekends Please read before applying To be considered, you must: Be male, as this role involves providing intimate personal care where a male worker is required to protect the individual’s privacy and dignity. Have at least six months’ experience in supported living or supporting people with learning disabilities, mental health needs or complex needs. Be available to work the full time night rota, including alternate weekends. Already have the right to work in the UK for the contracted hours without employer sponsorship. No visa sponsorship is available. We cannot sponsor a visa or take over existing sponsorship. Help people build more independent lives Transforming Support is recruiting Male Night Support Workers for its supported living team in Chichester. You will support adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, providing safe, respectful and consistent support throughout the night. From helping with personal care and evening or morning routines to offering reassurance when someone needs support, your patience, reliability and calm approach can make a lasting difference. These are full time, permanent night positions for male applicants who meet the essential requirements. What you’ll be doing Providing personal care and practical support throughout the night with dignity and respect. Supporting evening, overnight and morning routines according to individual needs. Offering reassurance and responding calmly to changing needs. Supporting health needs and medication in line with training and agreed procedures. Following individual support plans and risk assessments. Maintaining accurate records, providing clear handovers and following safeguarding procedures. You will take time to understand each person’s needs and preferences, helping them feel safe and supported while encouraging independence wherever possible. About you You will be caring, dependable and patient, with good judgement and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations. You must communicate clearly, work confidently both independently and as part of a team, and be willing to complete all required training. Your experience should demonstrate respectful support, an ability to follow agreed procedures and an understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality. What you’ll get £14.00 per hour, equivalent to £28,028 per annum based on 38.5 paid hours per week. Discretionary £1,000 annual bonus. 28 days’ annual leave including bank holidays.
