We're looking for an organised and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with all-round finance experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to develop their skills within a growing organisation.

Working closely with the Finance Manager and wider team, you'll help ensure the smooth running of finance processes across multiple businesses while contributing to continuous improvements and maintaining high levels of accuracy.


Key Responsibilities

  • Processing purchase ledger transactions and supplier payments across multiple entities.
  • Managing supplier accounts, statement reconciliations and finance queries.
  • Processing employee expenses and company credit card transactions.
  • Raising customer invoices and allocating customer payments.
  • Supporting credit control activities and resolving customer account queries.
  • Assisting with bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations and month-end processes.
  • Supporting VAT returns and fixed asset administration.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls.
  • Providing support across the finance team and covering colleagues when required.
  • Assisting with general office administration duties as needed.


What We're Looking For


Essential

  • Previous experience in an all-round finance role.
  • Strong understanding of purchase ledger, sales ledger and reconciliations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Positive, flexible and proactive approach to work.
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths at Grade C/4 or above.



Desirable

  • Experience using Xero accounting software.
  • Experience working across multiple businesses or entities.
