The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
The over‑riding purpose is to support the provision of the highest quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvement and by working closely with the broader Multi‑disciplinary Team (MDT). The post will be based with the Neurorehabilitation team at Mansfield Community Hospital, with services also offered at Newark and Kings Mill Hospital. There are excellent educational opportunities, both formal (weekly medical Grand Round, weekly Geriatric Department educational meeting) and informal. There are also opportunities for audit and QIP projects whilst working at the hospital.
Responsibilities
- Assist with in‑reach into the medical wards
- See neurorehabilitation referrals on medical wards
- Attend neurorehabilitation outpatient clinics
- Manage spasticity and administer botulinum toxin injections, with training as required.
Qualifications
- Full registration (and licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Have completed 2 of the 3 parts of MRCP
- Full MRCP
Experience
- At least 4 years full‑time regular hospital service at Specialty Registrar – Year 1 or 2 / F2 level or a higher grade with at least 4 months in Geriatrics and at least 4 months of registrar level (IMT3 or above) experience of general medicine on calls within the UK
- Previous experience in a multidisciplinary setting
- Experience of working at a registrar level in geriatric medicine
Teaching
- Experience with audit, teaching or quality improvement.
- Experience in teaching.
