Job overview
Domestic Assistants support the Trust in delivering a clean and safe environment for both service users and staff. We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Domestic Assistant to work at Clatterbridge.
The Trust currently supports the Real Living Wage (RLW) hourly rate as set by the Living Wage Federation and will apply a pay supplement if the national A4C hourly rate falls below this.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic Domestic Assistant to join our facilities team at Clatterbridge. A successful candidate will receive full training and a uniform will be provided.
You will be required to work as part of a team and be flexible within your working approach e.g. cover for annual leave and sickness. Previous experience in a domestic environment would be advantageous, if not training will be provided.

Qualifications
- General Education
- Hold or willing to undertake accredited Level 2 award in cleaning
- NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning
- Food Safety qualification
Knowledge and Expertise
- Ability to accept and prioritise instructions
- Previous NHS cleaning knowledge would be desirable
Experience
- Good understanding of cleaning services
- Previous experience in Domestic Services and/or catering.
- Previous experience in dealing with the public
Employer certification / accreditation badges
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
