Job overview

The post involves providing administrative support to the Service Manager and Service Support Manager within departmental procedures. The role includes managing and validating waiting lists related to RTT, FUNB, and Cancer, working with management across multiple hospital sites. The post primarily supports the Respiratory Department but also covers other Medical Specialties.
The post holder will operate and update the PAS system (WPAS) and other clinical systems, understanding transactions to report and maintain performance targets.
This role is ideal for gaining experience in operational team settings. The post holder will be the first contact for RTT, FUNB, and Cancer waiting list issues, requiring excellent communication skills.
Main duties of the job
Supporting the Service Manager/Medical Support Manager with administrative tasks, managing RTT/Cancer pathways, and medical staffing activities such as rota management, leave processing, and oversight of medical rotas.
The post holder will be the primary contact for RTT pathway management, Cancer RTT issues, and Medical Staffing queries.

Validating WPAS data, updating the system for RTT measurement, and analyzing facts and statistics. Handling routine information related to RTT and Cancer pathways, and managing medical records for validation purposes. Responding to queries and scheduling meetings. Ensuring the WPAS system reflects patient pathways accurately. Developing an understanding of RTT processes and sharing information with colleagues. Following policies related to Medical Staffing and RTT, and maintaining concentration while validating documents and managing rotas.
