An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Bassetlaw in this varied and interesting role within the Facilities Department. Enhancements for Bank Holiday and Weekend work are offered as a part of this role.
Main duties of the job:
- Service Assistants undertake all appropriate cleaning duties within the hospital maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness.
- This is a physically demanding role with elements of carrying, lifting & moving items. Therefore, the person undertaking this role will need to be relatively physically fit.
- Previous experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be given.

Knowledge & Experience:
- Evidence of Researching Service Assistant Role
- Previous experience of professional cleaning, catering, portering services, working with the public, e.g. customer services, retail
- Experience/knowledge of Decontamination, e.g, Hydrogen Peroxide Vapour/UVA
Qualifications & Training:
- Communicates clearly in writing
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
- Experience of using software systems
Personal Attributes & Skills:
- Can demonstrate an understanding of the importance of cleaning
- Can demonstrate an understanding of health & safety
- Experience of team work
- Awareness of Infection Prevention & Control
- Knowledge of COSHH
- Knowledge of customer care skills
