We are seeking Domestic Assistants to work at Warrington Hospital, who will maintain high standards of cleanliness in-line with Trust cleaning protocols. You will communicate with colleagues in connection with your own job role and ensure a close working relationship with Ward/Departmental Housekeeper.

30 hours Monday to Friday 2pm to 8pm

20 hours Monday to Friday 4pm to 8pm

12 hours Saturday and Sunday 7am to 1pm

Main duties of the job:

  • You will carry out cleaning tasks, operating machinery, e.g., buffing machine, vacuum cleaner, moving of buckets of water and cleaning equipment to meet the needs of the area.
  • You will be responsible for the correct use, security and storage of own equipment and cleaning materials, ensuring stock levels are maintained and used appropriately.

A CQC-rated ‘Good’ organisation with ‘Outstanding’ features, it is working towards university hospital status having achieved teaching status in 2019 and is working in partnership with the University of Chester and others in this regard.

Person specification:

  • Experience: Cleaning Experience, Experience in undertaking cleaning tasks in a hospital environment.
  • Qualifications: General Standard of Education, Basic IT skills to enable completion of Trust e-learning, Health and safety level 1.
  • Knowledge & Skills: Knowledge of cleaning methods and processes, Knowledge of cleaning materials and products, Cleaning protocols, Knowledge of Control of Infection Health and Safety and COSHH policies, Customer Care Training.
