Job overview

We are looking for a customer focussed receptionist for a Receptionist for our Trust HQ in Portland House, Worthing.

The working hours are:

Reception duties will include greeting our staff, visitors and service users.You will also be answering queries via telephone and email.

The post holder must have excellent inter personal skills, and be able to organise and prioritise their work schedule. They must be able to work on their own initiative, with excellent telephone manner and respectful confidentiality.

Main duties of the job

  • To ensure efficient operation of the reception area
  • Answer queries and convey messages via telephone and email
  • The post-holder will be expected to work independently and as part of the administrative team, prioritising and organising their own workload, whilst considering the competing demands of the team and ensuring that reception administrative work is carried out within set timescales.
  • To assist with general clerical work/typing as required, and help with
    meeting room arrangements and hospitalities where required
  • Where required, ensures all letters/parcels are either franked or stamped and sorted forcollection, arranging for Recorded/Special Delivery when necessary

Person specification

Qualifications

  • NVQ2 or equivalent / good standard of secondary education; GCSE at Grade C or above
  • PC skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office software

Knowledge/Experience

  • Previous reception and switchboard experience
  • Experience of working with the public
