Job overview:

Applications are invited for the position of a Band 2 Radiography Department Assistant (RDA) to work within the busy Radiology Directorate of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. The post is based within the Radiology Department at University Hospital Llandough, which provides radiology services across the site.

Main duties of the job:

We are searching for an enthusiastic applicant to join the team who will support the Radiographic team with their workloads and provide excellent patient care whilst undertaking administrative roles effectively. We are looking for someone who shares the values of the UHB by displaying trust, respect, integrity, kindness and takes personal responsibility. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post. Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications:

  • Evidence of general education.
  • GCSE English and Maths.
  • Evidence of Arithmetic and English qualifications, or equivalent.
  • Experience of working with the general public.
  • Experience of working within the NHS or healthcare system.
  • Previous NHS computer system experience.
  • Previous team working experience.
  • Flexible towards the needs of service.

Skills:

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision & under pressure.
  • Well organised & methodical.
