This role requires General Pharmaceutical Council Registration. Base location: Poole Hospital. Please note that you will be required to work across site.

Main duties of the job include:

  • Working closely with and supporting the Lead and Deputy Lead Technician in the day-to-day running of the Technical Services aseptic suite.
  • Providing a quality, GMP compliant service, supplying aseptically prepared medicines including clinical trials, in a timely manner to all service users.
  • Acting as a supervisor under the direction of the Deputy Lead Technician in the aseptic suite or its support areas.
  • Line managing and acting as a role model for junior members of staff.

Qualifications required include:

  • Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians or equivalent.
  • Professional registration with the GPhC.

Experience required includes:

  • Knowledge of cancer services.
  • Experience of working in a busy pharmacy department.
  • Experience of working in a hospital pharmacy department.
  • Experience of using JAC or Mosaiq pharmacy computer system.
  • Experience of working in a clean room.
  • Experience of working in an Aseptic Unit.

  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Good written and oral communication.
