The predicted salary is between 21500 - 23500 £ per year.

We are looking for a level 3 qualified practitioner to join our team who is passionate and committed to providing amazing experiences and learning opportunities to ensure that all children receive the highest standards of care and education. We offer above industry standard salary with salary increments. You would start on up to 35 days holiday per year (including Bank holidays).

To provide a caring and stimulating environment for children aged 6 weeks to 4 years.

To maintain the health and well-being of children in our care.

To actively contribute to the monitoring and recording of children's development and the sharing of information with other professionals both internally and externally.

Main duties of the job:
  • To adhere to OFSTED Standards & Regulations.
  • To ensure compliance with child protection procedures.
  • To take the lead in the absence of the Room Leader.
  • To take the lead in providing a challenging and quality care education.
  • To adhere to nursery and Trust policies and procedures.
  • To maintain the health and safety of the children in our care, carrying out risk assessments when required.

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff. This training programme has been designed to support our staff in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the following training sessions:

  • Your Leadership Impact
  • Service Improvement for Beginners

After you complete these one and a half days of training, you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities. We also offer a range of additional in-house courses and bitesize programmes through our Leadership and Improvement Team.

Person specification:
  • NNEB / BTEC / NVQ 3 in Early Years Care and Education or equivalent.
  • GCSE English grade C or equivalent in English.
Knowledge:
  • Demonstrable communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the Requirements of the Childcare Act 2009.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities and processes.
  • Knowledge of Ofsted standards & regulations.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Experience:
  • Work placement experience within a childcare setting.
