Job overview: The Urology Service is advertising for a Senior Endourology Clinical Fellow on a 6 or 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The role will be based at City Hospital Campus with some work at Queens Medical Centre Campus and will involve working with a team of four subspecialist stone surgeons in a tertiary referral centre. The fellow will support a dedicated on‑site lithotripter service, deliver emergency ESWL, and perform primary ureteroscopy with a laser in emergency theatres. The service offers extensive experience in endourological procedures including rigid ureteroscopy, ureteroscopy, PCNL, Mini‑PCNL, and ultra‑mini‑PCNL (70‑80 PCNLs and >300 ureteroscopies per year). Opportunity to gain experience in paediatric stone surgery is also available.

Person specification:

  • Analytical and Judgement Skills: Interest in and knowledge of medical audit and the principles of evidence‑based audit. Evidence of audit participation.
  • Qualifications: MBBS Licensed and full registration with the General Medical Council.
  • Experience: Within 6 months of CCT FRCS (Urol.). Good knowledge in diagnosis and management of stone disease. Exposure to rigid and flexible ureteroscopy. Post‑CCT experience. Exposure to PCNL.
