The James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust serves a population of around 250,000 people in the Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft and Waveney areas. The Trust provides an integrated hospital and community children’s service.

We are looking for a Band 6 Cross sectional Imaging Radiographer to join our team in CT and MRI scanning. The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of CT & MRI and will work alongside our current team on the rota. Radiographers work in both CT and MR scanning. We work a shift pattern covering 24/7, 7 days a week. Staff are on-site for 12 hours at a time, in the vast majority of cases. Our staff work across multiple areas including the CDC's for imaging of which we have 2 sites within an 8 mile radius to the main hospital site.

The ideal candidate will be someone who is motivated to ensure that each patient receives a good experience from an understanding and friendly face! The team work hard to achieve this and patients are at the centre of all of our plans.

Main duties of the job include:

  • Scanning
  • Record keeping
  • Booking appointments and use of the RIS system
  • IV cannulation
  • Patient care activities

This position will suit a flexible, eager-to-learn and caring person with great communication skills. We would be willing to consider an Annex 21 training post for the right candidate. An on-site interview involving a presentation by the candidate will be required.

The Trust is keen to support development where possible and there are many courses that are run in-house. External development pathways will also be considered and our current staff are evidence of this being the case.
