Join the Gastroenterology team at Mid and South Essex NHS Trust. This role is based at Southend Hospital, with opportunities to work cross-site at Orsett or a new CDC in Basildon. You will help provide inpatient care for Gastroenterology patients on a 1:5 Gastroenterologist of the Week model.
Main duties of the job:
- Support inpatient & outpatient gastroenterology services alongside established consultants
- Undertake teaching for undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff, nursing, and pharmacy professionals

- Contributing to Trust policies and priorities
- Supervising and training multidisciplinary team members in the Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Department

- Gastroenterology consultant with over 2 years of experience

- ERCP experience and signed off

- Entry on GMC Specialist Register or eligible within six months of CCT
