Lead Specialist Nurse - Diabetes

We have an exciting opportunity within our Diabetes Team at the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust (UHDB). We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual, who wishes to become part of a successful Diabetes Team across Southern Derbyshire, North Leicestershire and East Staffordshire with an interest in diabetes. We are looking for someone with past experience in diabetes and the management of complex conditions. Knowledge of Pumps, IDT or antenatal diabetic care is preferred.

Main duties of the job include:

• Broad experience as a Specialist Nurse within Diabetes.
• Experience across Inpatient / Outpatient / Community settings, managing complex diabetes cases.
• Autonomous working and team management skills.
• Work as Lead nurse for a specialist area, becoming a clinical specialist for that area.
