The predicted salary is between 24465 - 24465 £ per year.
To provide administrative support within a designated area and contribute to the effective running of the ward by concentrating on tasks which directly support administration systems and procedures.
Main duties of the job:
- To maintain the patient records/notes and other ward records using computer-based systems.
- To ensure patients demographics and other personal details are updated.
- To complete the process and dispatch discharge notes and forward patient notes appropriately.
- To use effective communication skills to answer the telephone according to the agreed standard and give the appropriate information as required.
- To photocopy/scan documents as required.
- To ensure patient confidentiality at all times in line with the Trust Policy.
- To assist in the induction and development of others by demonstrating own duties.
- To undertake other ad hoc tasks to support the service needs.
Person specification:
- Education, Training and Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 qualifications in admin or equivalent training or experience. A good standard of general education including Maths and English.
- Knowledge and Experience: Proficient keyboard and data entry experience. Knowledge of administrative procedures. Knowledge and understanding of GDPR. Experience in the use of computerised administration systems.
- Skills: Be able to demonstrate the use of office equipment including photocopier, printers, and telephone. Demonstrate a high-level of personal self-management and organisation. Demonstrate skills of tact and sensitivity when dealing with complaints and enquiries both verbally and written. Be able to respond to patients and families where there is distress/emotional circumstance and manage appropriately.
