Job overview: We are looking for a COSRT Accredited Psychosexual Counsellor to join our busy Urology team at Epsom and St Helier. The successful candidate will provide specialist psychosexual assessment and counselling to adults experiencing a wide range of sexual and relationship difficulties.
Main duties of the job:
- Managing a designated caseload.
- Undertaking comprehensive assessments and developing care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues within the Urology department.
- Liaising closely with referrers, GPs, and other professionals across primary and secondary care to ensure patients receive high quality care.
- Working within relevant legal and ethical frameworks.
- Maintaining high standards of clinical record keeping.
- Monitoring outcomes and practicing in accordance with professional codes of conduct and organisational policies.
Person specification:
Qualifications: CORST accreditationExperience: Counselling experience, evidence of managing an independent caseload, previous experience working in an NHS trust, previous experience of NHS IT Systems (Cerner), previous experience of psychosexual counselling.
Skills: Knowledge & awareness of diversity and human rights, ability to communicate effectively to ensure high standards of care, ability to understand an individual’s communication, physical & emotional needs.
