Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is one of the largest Integrated Health Boards in the UK, employing over 16,000 staff and providing over 100 specialist services. An exciting opportunity exists for conscientious, motivated and innovative practitioners to work within the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board Health Visiting service. We require enthusiastic and positive practitioners who are pro-active and have a ācan do approachā. You should work well as part of a team and take ownership and responsibility for providing a safe and excellent service to the families within your care.
Main duties of the job include delivering the Healthy Child Wales Programme, and/or Flying Start additionality to an allocated caseload, and working as part of a team, liaising with stakeholders and managers, and becoming familiar with the community profile of the area you will cover.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Qualifications required include SCPHN Health Visitor Registration/working towards, Nurse Prescriber/working towards, and knowledge of Healthy Child Wales Programme/Flying Start Programme. Understanding of public health agenda and being I.T. literate is essential.
