Job overview:
We are currently looking for Qualified Children's Nurses ideally with experience of working with children in an acute setting who would like to become part of the CED team. We would also welcome applications from adult nurses ideally with ED experience who we could offer a fixed term contract.
The Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital is a CQC rated Outstanding regional, dedicated children's hospital located in Brighton overlooking the sea, next to the Royal Sussex County Hospital. Fixed term/secondment opportunities also available.
We welcome applicants who currently hold UK NMC registration. If you hold an overseas nursing qualification and require sponsorship, we are not currently direct hiring Internationally Qualified Nurses. This role is eligible for visa sponsorship under the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) Skilled Worker route, however sponsorship can only be provided where applicants meet the specific requirements set by UKVI, including the relevant skill and salary thresholds (£25,000) and any role-specific criteria.
Main duties of the job:
- Provide the highest standard of patient care as a member of the multi-disciplinary team.
- Contribute to the smooth and efficient running of CED over a 24 hour period.
- Continue to develop own knowledge and skills through locally agreed development plans and contribute to the development of others.
- Contribute to working in partnership with other agencies.
Person specification:
- Registered Nurse - Child Branch or Adult with Paediatric Experience.
- Experience working with children in Acute setting.
- Recent course relating to Acutely unwell/injured CYP.
- Evidence of having championed diversity in previous roles (as appropriate to role).
- Evidence of having undertaken own development to improve understanding of equalities issues.
