We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic HCPC Registered Dietitian to become part of our welcoming Gastroenterology and Surgical Dietetics Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference while working in a supportive environment that values collaboration and professional growth.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of your own clinical caseload across gastroenterology and surgical wards, while also gaining diverse experience in trauma, orthopaedics, and care of the elderly medicine. You’ll be supported to develop specialist skills in gastroenterology, surgery, and enteral feeding, with structured guidance to help you thrive. Alongside your clinical work, you’ll play a key role in multidisciplinary team care and contribute to service improvement projects, shaping the future of dietetic care at Bedford Hospital.
Main duties of the job:
- Provide high-quality dietetic care to inpatients across gastroenterology, surgical, orthopaedic, and elderly care wards.
- Assess, plan, and implement evidence-based nutritional interventions for patients with complex needs.
- Support patient education and deliver training to other healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to service audits, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in student supervision and the development of dietetic assistant practitioners.
- Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes.
