D4 ward at our Basingstoke & North Hampshire Hospital site is looking for a part-time Ward Clerk to support the clinical and multi-disciplinary team. This role is required to work Monday to Wednesday.

Main duties of the job:
- To ensure the availability and preparation of patient hospital notes together with the relevant documentation for all patients admitted to the service.
- To ensure the availability of patient hospital notes when requested for clinical audit/Risk & Governance departments.
- To use the case note tracking system to record the location of case notes, ensuring that the tracking system is maintained and that staff with access to it can locate case notes over a 24 hour period.
- To liaise with medical secretaries and other hospitals to locate missing case notes and if unsuccessful to escalate to Operational/Clinical Manager.
- To complete the electronic discharge documentation.
- To collate documentation and file appropriately in hospital case notes.
- To book patient transport when requested.
- Answering telephone in a timely manner.
- Greet visitors to the ward.
- Assist Senior Staff where required.
