Band 2Job overviewDue to department promotions, we are looking for enthusiastic and organised individuals to join our Pharmacy Dispensary service.

Under the supervision and support of a Pharmacy registered professional, the role will assist the Dispensary team to deliver a safe and high-quality service to our patients and customers. We are looking for a team player with a professional outlook who can demonstrate good customer service skills.

The post holder will work at either the City Hospital or QMC Campus. City campus weekend hours are 9am – 3pm Saturdays and Sundays and QMC campus weekend hours are 10am – 4pm Saturdays and Sundays. Full in house training will be provided, which will involve the completion of the pharmacy Support Worker Course – dispensing bundle if you do not already have an equivalent certificate.

Main duties of the jobWe are looking for applicants who are eager to learn, able to organise and prioritise their own work to meet deadlines and use their own initiative. Applicants will complete a pharmacy Support Worker Course – dispensing bundle (if not already obtained), which takes between 3 and 12 months to complete.

A high level of concentration is required for long periods of time. You will need to be committed and adaptable to change. A positive image of the Trust Pharmacy department should be demonstrated at all times while showing a commitment to support the organisation\’s values and behaviours.

Would be highly beneficial if applicant(s) are able to complete initial training during the week.

Training and Qualifications

4 GCSE\’s at grade D or above in English language, Maths and 2 other subjects

Possession of or working towards NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services and BTEC or a Buttercups Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship

Experience

Demonstrate ability to work as part of a team

Ability to perform and work under pressure

Experience of working in a pharmacy environment

Able to communicate clearly verbally and electronically within a team

Good telephone manner

Able to relay accurate information

Flexible working hours, to be worked over 7 days as per local shifted rota
