Job summary
Locum Consultant in Orthopaedic Surgery Specialising in Upper Limb Surgery.
Applications are invited for a Full Time Locum Consultant in Orthopaedics, for upper limb surgery, based at Northwick Park Hospital and required to work across the Central Middlesex and Ealing Hospitals.
The successful applicant must have experience in upper limb surgery. The role will include elective and trauma operating, fracture clinics and elective clinics.
The Consultants are supported by Registrars, Trust Grade doctors, and junior doctors at FY1/FY2/CT1 level.
Main duties of the job
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
There will be balanced activities between trauma and elective commitments based on service demands.
The activities would include operation lists, both elective and trauma, regular ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and presenting monthly mortality & morbidity statistics.
Supervision and training of middle grade doctors is expected, along with participation in management duties within the department and the Trust.
