Job overview

Two fantastic opportunities have become available at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacists to join our existing patient focused team of Rotational Clinical Trial Pharmacists. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a wealth of clinical experience to take the next step in their career or those with an interest in a Specialist Clinical Trial service within the paediatric setting.

Main duties of the job

In addition to gaining GCP, regulatory and operational Clinical Trials experience, depending on your previous experience, you may join one of two clinical rotational programmes;

• Clinical Trials within a SACT programme, where you will gain experience in Haematology & Oncology, BMT and Advanced Therapy Clinical Trials or
• Clinical Trials within General Medicine, including Neurology, Surgery, Renal, Endocrinology/Metabolic, Gastroenterology, Immunology, Rheumatology and Dermatology.

You will be guided and supported by one of the Senior Specialist Clinical Trial Pharmacists and introduced to Core Clinical Trial operational, study delivery activities, IMP management, Technical Assurance, Modification Management and Study Setups.

• Postgraduate Certificate in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent experience
• Non-Medical Prescriber

Experience/Knowledge

• Experience providing a clinical service to a specialist area e.g. rheumatology, dermatology, surgery, intensive care, neurology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, metabolic, PN, renal, commissioning and general paediatrics on the private wards
• Multi-disciplinary team working
• Use of medicines in specialist area of paediatrics
• Experience of writing and updating local guidelines
• An understanding of the pharmaceutical issues of the specialist areas

Skills/Abilities

• Good verbal, written communication, and organisational skills
• Training and supervising staff
