This Otology Clinical Fellow post is a whole-time appointment with the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust until August 2027. The appointee will provide intermediate grade support to the teams appropriate to their level of experience. Full registration with the GMC with a licence to practise is required, and if the appointee does not hold right of residence in the UK sponsorship will be required.
Main duties of the job:
- Appointments are made to the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the person appointed is required to be sufficiently flexible to undertake their main clinical duties at any of the sites within the Trust.
- The ENT Consultants will delegate specific duties and responsibilities in accordance with experience/competence and the needs of the department.
- The Clinical Fellows will cover Thursday night’s on-call between them, including prospective cover for one another, as well as providing prospective cover for the SAS Doctor’s leave on Monday night.
- The appointee would be expected to play a full part in the clinical, teaching and governance activities of the directorate.

Person specification:
- Registered with the GMC with a licence to practice at point of application
- Medical Degree or diploma from a recognised UK or overseas university or institution
- MRCS or Equivalent
- Evidence of participation in CME/CPD in the last 12 months
- Good personal organisational ability
- Demonstrates behaviour consistent with PROUD values
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Clinical ENT experience in a secondary care setting (minimum 2 years)
- Experience of teaching medical students and junior doctors
