We also provide some specialist services that are commissioned regionally, such as our medium secure services; and nationally, such as the Cassel Hospital for people with complex and severe personality disorder and our high secure services at Broadmoor Hospital.

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurse (known within The Cassel as a Psychosocial Nurse) to join our highly skilled Inpatient Team. The Cassel is an NHS Tier 4 Personality Disorder Service providing intensive treatment for adults with severe and complex personality disorders, often alongside significant trauma-related difficulties.

• Individual and Group Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy

As a Psychosocial Nurse, you will work alongside patients, using therapeutic relationships to help them develop insight into their thoughts, feelings and behaviours. You will also support patients to apply their therapeutic learning beyond the inpatient setting, promoting independence and lasting change. Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will:

• Deliver holistic, trauma-informed care, assessing patients' emotional, physical, social and psychological needs and developing personalised care plans that support recovery and positive change.
• Support patients to identify and utilise personal, social and community resources to enhance resilience, independence and wellbeing.
• Provide specialist knowledge and guidance to colleagues and partner agencies working with individuals experiencing complex personality and trauma-related difficulties.
• Contribute to evidence-based practice through clinical expertise, reflective practice, service evaluation and quality improvement.
• Actively participate in the ongoing development of this highly specialised service.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in mental health – Mental Health Nursing (RMN) with current NMC registration
• Psychodynamic or equivalent further training
• Completed the KUF Training

Experience

• Working with personality disorder
• Coping with impact of emotional distress
• Quality Improvement project
• Work experience of enablement rather than doing for patients

Knowledge

• Knowledge of boundaries and their use
• Risk assessment/management and crisis intervention skills
• Worked in a Therapeutic Community or Enabling Environment
