This post is pending college approval for a Substantive Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. This is a replacement full-time post to support a busy regional unit which is expanding. The post is mainly based at the Queen’s Medical Centre campus of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and involves clinics at Sherwood Forest NHS Trust.
Main duties of the job:
- Flexibility in terms of operating lists and undertaking additional Programmed Activities.
- The initial job is planned at 10 PA's.
- Consideration for candidates who wish to apply as part of a job share arrangement.

The unit provides regional head and neck services for Nottinghamshire, Sherwood Forest and Lincolnshire. You will be part of our team and are expected to bring expertise in the development and provision of new services and share the long-term vision of the Oral and Maxillofacial Unit.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities:
- MFDS/FDS and FRCS qualification with inclusion on the specialist list.
- CCT expected within 6 months of interview date.
- Full GDC and GMC registration are essential.
Person specification:
- Full registration with the GDC.
- Full registration with GMC.
- CCT in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery or equivalent.
- FRCS (OMFS) or equivalent.

Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part-time workers.
