Job overview
This is a new post in the Imaging Department at Kettering General Hospital. The post holder will join an established cohesive team of radiologists supporting clinicians and delivering acute and elective imaging in both specialist areas and in general radiology. Sub-specialty interest in any sub-specialty will be entertained but will prefer cardio-thoracic or paediatric imaging.
Applications are invited to join Kettering General Hospital Foundation Trust as a full-time Speciality grade Radiologist. The post would be suitable for qualified Radiologists approved by the Royal College of Radiologists and the General Medical Council.
Main duties of the job
The Post holder would mainly support emergency adult and paediatric radiology, cancer imaging reporting, attending multi-disciplinary team meetings and covering Ultrasound, CT and MR sessions in the
working week.
The appointees will be encouraged to perform basic interventional
procedures, like biopsies and drainages under supervision.

Educations, Training and Qualifications
- Educated to MBBS and post graduate radiology qualification/FRCR (full or part) level or equivalent level of education.
- Full Registration with the GMC and hold a current license to practice.
- Minimum of 3 years radiology training or experience
- Not previously relinquished, released or removed from a training programme in this specialty except under exceptional circumstances
- PREVIOUS NHS EXPERIENCE
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
Knowledge and Experience
- ACHIEVED ALL RCR TRAINING COMPETENCIES AS IN E- PORTFOLIO
- MBBS, MBChB or equivalent medical qualification
- FRCR 1 or 2A

- To have achieved competencies expected for level of training reflected in e portfolio or RCR portfolio.
- Evidence of interest & experience in formal teaching.
- Previous NHS experience with sub-speciality experience is required.

New employees who do not join the update service will be required to pay £49.50 for a new DBS check in 3 years time.
